Hunters Grove Entrance

Just what the hunters grove might look like before the darkness consumes it entirely. Only a few small darkfae worms are present here.

Interior forge - city

Just a concept on what a forge in this world might look like.

Blacklands Beasts

This one is much quicker, but it shows the beasts in the blacklands which feed on weary travelers and are the only mobile creature in a thousand foot wide volcanic desert. They scurry across a tree which Damien took down to bridge the gap to get away from them, but they were too late.

Sirens

These mermaid like sirens glow bright blue underwater and when they emerge, their whole body sings to passing sailors luring them into the ocean where they rip them to shreds. This shows a warded (protection using magical symbols and seals) boat which has fallen victim to the relentless sirens.

Terata Camp

In a deep dead valley filled with an unusual mist, the travelers are taken captive by a odd group of near dead slaves disguised as small children. They are held in a small cave surrounded by white vines that suck the life out of anything they grow on. This whole place is a tribute to Calesta, a powerful illusion based demon.

Eathquake in the Eastern continent

The companions travel to the eastern continent, a journey that has only been attempted four times before in the last thirteen hundred years, in which nobody ever returned. The earthquakes on Erna release a violent surge of earth fae which the adepts on this continent use to communicate across great lengths.

Hunters Transformation

Gerald Tarrant, also known as The Hunter for hunting down helpless girls and feeding on their fears much like any faeborn demon would. He has the ability to let the fae consume him entirely and transform himself into a giant bird. This image shows him mid transformation back to his human form over a small river in a gulley. His sorcery involves an inverse fire, one that freezes instead of burns.

The first appearance of Hesseth

A shadowy figure appears outside a small inn where Damien, Gerald Tarrant, Senzei and Ciani of Faraday are being assulted by an onslaught of particularly nasty demons. She distracts them with tidal fae, giving the group a chance to strike back.

Fear Alter

This is an alter which armed guards will bring out young scared girls and chain them up to the alter. The fear in the girls would manifest some pretty nasty demons in the nights deep purple earth fae, and the guards would then slaughter the demons. Seems like a disturbing way to hunt the faeborn.

About the book - super brief

The story takes place over a thousand years after humans fled earth seeking a new planet because earth became uninhabitable. They arrived on Erna, a planet very much like earth, but with a natural forced called the Fae, which has the power to manifest your thoughts into reality. Fears will manifest into demons and wraiths that feed on humans. The Fae can be controlled to perform sorcery like effects, and it has corrupted all earth technology, so the people must rely on it for daily life, and can never return to earth.

The main characters are Damien Vryce, a priest for the One God. A holy man who is also a skilled fighter and sorcerer. Gerald Tarrant, the founder of the church who turned against it, also giving up his humanity to cheat death. He is over one thousand years old and is some distant form of a vampire. He uses the earth fae with deadly precision and can hone it in a freezing fire. Hesseth, a Rakh (the natural species on the planet) who is determined to discover what is corrupting her people.

I don't pretend to be this super amazing artist, but I'm working on it, and one day hopefully I'll be doing concept art for movies or video games. It's my passion, and I'll keep practicing. This is my journey. Thanks for reading!
